Default 100NL - Flopped set - is checking turn here horrible????<>

Villain is decent running at 20.8/14.4/4.33 over 440 hands.
I got the feeling he was floating me light at times. I guess the standard is to fire turn again, is a check here, obv. looking to CR AI horrible here?????

Having said that, is the river double check the right play given we now expect him to bet a missed draw and value bet a weakish king he might have flat called on the flop?

Cheers

the turn check is fine if you think he is floating light but you have to bet the river. His river calling range is far wider than his river betting range

Screw the cr vs this villain, get your vbets in on turn and river.

You make a valid point that was considered at the time. However GIVEN the 3rd player folded and we are heads up on the turn, I expected him to semi-bluff a lot of his mediocre holdings.

If the turn paired I think it has its merits, so that he's drawing to a worse hand(flush).
However now there are quite a few draws out, and you really dont wanna let them draw for free.

More on the flop, more on the turn, more on the river.

if you think he's floating you quite often , a turn-checkraise isn't a bad idea .
But pls bet the river if he checked behind on the turn.
