Well as I said, I am 23/20 myself and I do open 56s from UTG. I guess I must open a little wider from UTG than most and less trash from CO/BTN.

do you open 56s every time from utg?
if yes, then there is NO way that you are 23/20 unless you screw up your other hands in other positions

how can you open 56s every time utg and expect to get profit from it anyhow?

I open it most of the time unless there are many active raisers behind me. A UTG raise is quite scary to many players.. And a CB on a K or A high flop makes tons of hands fold when it was raised by UTG.

I think I am very tight from SB/BB though, it could be where my VIP goes down.

56s actually has some value... And you don't get these hands often enough for the others to notice you raise that from UTG (unless it gets to SD..)

Anyway, if you don't like these hands, you don't have to play them. I just know it works for me.

I'd probably check/fold because by the way you described him he could even raise you without an ace

actually, if he is capable of firing multiple barrels w/ worse hands, and value-betting multiple streets w/ better hands, then folding is best. Just because you're ahead of his range on the flop doesnt mean you can get to showdown profitably OOP.

If you bet here and he raises, what's your plan?

If you bet here and he calls, what's your plan? check turn? Then it's an easy bet for him. You call that too?
