God I hope Rockies quickly sweep this humdrum D-backs team from everyone's misery...

[/ QUOTE ]

How exactly do you consider the team with the best regular season record in the NL and a team that just swept the first round of the playoffs to be "humdrum"? If that is so, then what does that make the rest of the league?

[/ QUOTE ]

Man, this crap has to be a level.

To be fair, I'd still take them over the Orioles, Dodgers and Giants.

Why? Because neither team is really big market?

My only other guess is that it's because you don't think it matter who wins this, AL is winning the world series anyway.

But from a baseball perspective, this will be a lot of fun. You've got division rivals, one of which consistently performed well over the regular season and one which turned the jets on right when it mattered, duking it out for a spot in the world series. Sounds pretty awesome to me.

because the dbacks are maybe the worst playoff teams ever and they're facing like the 9th best team in baseball

playoffs arent supposed to have livan hernandez throwing junk to leadoff hitters who will settle for NRIs the next time theyre a free agent

This ridiculously long break cannot help the Rockies. As hot as they are, I'm sure they would rather hop on a plane today and play them tonight.

All the series might be done tonight, and we'll be twiddling thumbs on Tuesday (watching NHL?).

Just so stupid.

I hope the Rockies and Boston go deep and there is snow in both places for games that come too close to November.

[/ QUOTE ]

This sucks. Sweeping the A's and sitting for a week killed DET last year.

It's a shame that pitchers can forget how to field their position in a week.
