Re: Beat: Travis Henry
[ QUOTE ]
Oct 5 Bill Williamson, of the Denver Post, reports Denver Broncos RB Travis Henry (ankle, knee) will likely be able to continue playing, barring a suspension by the Broncos, while his case is stuck in red tape. His legal situation could take days or weeks to be resolved. Oct 4 Broncos running back Travis Henry, the league's leading rusher, is trying to prevent the NFL from suspending him over the results of a drug test, Newsday reported Thursday. The report on the newspaper's Web site said Henry claims the league violated its substance abuse policy by not allowing his experts to be present for testing of his urine sample, according to court papers. Advice: Henry was granted a temporary restraining order in Suffolk County (N.Y.) Supreme Court to prevent the league from using a urine specimen against him and to prevent the league from disclosing the test results, but an appellate court vacated the order, according to court papers filed in Brooklyn federal court. Pending an appeal, Henry would be subject to a yearlong suspension if he tested positive again. [/ QUOTE ] I have him in my league, too. But it doesn't look like it's immediately over... Najdorf,
How are the things I listed less dangerous than pot? (PS you might want to bold your FYP because I totally missed that the first time around) (PPS disregard my pre-edit post, I misread some replies) |

Re: Beat: Travis Henry
From what I have read about smokeless tobacco, its not that bad as compared with cigs. In Sweden, the men don't smoke, but do snuff, a smokeless tobacco. They are the only major demographic group in Europe where cancer rates are going down. Women in Sweden smoke like the rest of Europe, and they get cancer, men in Europe much higher than Sweden.
In terms of mouth cancer, there really isn't much data to support a big rise in mouth cancers from dipping. Smoking is 10x more likely to cause mouth cancer. All in all, its a pretty safe way to put nicotine into your system. Smoking and dipping have both been proven to reduce the likelihood of Parkinson's. http://www.trdrp.org/research/PageGr...?grant_id=2474 |
