Re: 200NL - QQ overpair facing resistance from a nit
I like how you played it. Although he's tight, he's also pretty aggressive, and I think JJ-77 make up a large part of his range, more than AA-KK (since he didn't reraise preflop), 6x, 33.
Using pokerstove, against a range of 66+, 33, 76s, 65s, you have about 59% equity. --- 2,200 games 0.062 secs 35,483 games/sec Board: 6c 6d 3h 5s Dead: equity win tie pots won pots tied Hand 0: 59.091% 58.09% 01.00% 1278 22.00 { QcQd } Hand 1: 40.909% 39.91% 01.00% 878 22.00 { KK+, QhQs, JJ-77, 6h6s, 33, 7h6h, 7s6s, 6h5h, 6s5s } --- |

What you did isn't that wrong but I prefer betting this turn or even just lead shove(compared to c/raise).

if I remember correctly fundmyaudi is pretty bad, and he could def play 77-JJ this way.

Re: 200NL - QQ overpair facing resistance from a nit
I think his range is heavily weighted towards monsters (6x+, bluff), which is why I think c/r turn makes no sense.

Re: 200NL - QQ overpair facing resistance from a nit
I really think he doesn't bet 77-JJ here, 67 spades is def in his range as I've some him make some goofy flatcalls preflop from UTG raisers.
Fold the turn. |

I guess his turn bet makes sense as a semibluff, given that he picked up a gutshot, but I was still a bit surprised. I honestly couldn't put him on either a big hand or a pure bluff here, so I just shoved and crossed my fingers, and wanted to make sure I wasn't being results-oriented. |
