I'm taking the "checking to get value out of weaker hands on later streats" too far. He will call me with lots of worse hands so I need to bet this for value/protect against AK.

Hmm I have somehow gotten into my head that I shouldn't cbet these kind of flops.

a c-bet is a type of bluff. you're not betting as a bluff, you're betting for value.

The thing about c-betting these types of flops is that people love to bluff raise them. Since you're not folding to a raise (I hope?), you really want to be betting this flop a large percentage of the time both for protection and for value against random floats, smaller pps and draws.

But you have queens. This is just a straight value bet not a c-bet with 8 high. Some people wont even fold q high on flops like this and will also bluffraise a lot on these types of flops.

Bet. You get value from draws, of which there are many. Again, it's going to be a hard flop to play, but if villain has AK, AQ (unlikely, but possible), KQ, Q9, 98, 78 or clubs you don't want him seeing free cards, but most of those hands are willing to pay you for the priviledge of trying to outdraw you (not to mention random tens that you beat, and maybe smaller pocket pairs they might mess around with). His calling range consists of more hands that are behind than ahead.

Bet both flops.
You can get called by worse, gets value from draws etc. People dont always have it.
Also this is a really exploitable line against any thinking reg
