To answer OP, this is an old and standard practice. The ethical question is an interesting one, but generally rendered moot by tradition in those circles.

I think T. Brunson's column is one of the best in CP. At least one of the most entertaining, if not THE most.

LOL at staking Sam Grizzle.

My experience of playing against him in a sng for the daily tourny at Bellagio was equivalent to wrestling a toothless alligator, which was sad. But he was funny. At least until he started losing chips, then he got surly.

The funniest thing was he asked the floor if he could get in the sng on credit [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]
