the real question isnt whether hes paying off with a flush or a 5, because he is. its a question of his value betting abilities and tendencies

Well he is a nl player so I would assume he doesnt vb alot here which is why I would want to bet. He should be checking a flush and maybe he bets a pair, and maybe he pays off a cr since he shouldnt put you on an ace, but I think bet is the safest line considering all the conditions.

Definitely bet/call for me. For similar reasons to Scary Tiger.

Because we are ahead or chopping alot more than we are behind or chopping so why leave money on the table? Your line makes sense for the times it is more likely that we are either chopping, behind, or he cant pay off, but that is not the case here.

I'd put more bets in on flop or turn. The way you played it bet/call is certainly the best option imo. You gain the most value by betting and once in a while he will bluffraise you with his missed draw because you underrepresented your hand and may also be on a bluff.

edit: I now see I almost made the exact same post as Scary Tiger

I like a check/raise or a check/call. You have him beat here almost always and checking allows him to hang himself one more time. If you bet out, he will probably fold and cost you a bet.

Baron,

You should be leading this thing through all the way. I don't care who your opponent is - you have a great hand and hit it! Play a bigger pot on the flop. Play a bigger pot on the turn - checking and calling is terrible. I would hate for it to go check/check on the turn with several draws present, too, so I would bet the turn out and call a raise. As played, bet and call a raise on the river.

Sucker
