I think checking that flop to often your getting stacked off. Don't try and be to cute, bet the flop and get him off the hand. I find to often regardless of past notes that he will wake up with a K here. You can get your monies in better.

I read that to mean he bluffed on the flop ... maybe I was wrong.

You have to bet this flop, I understand trying to make the money off the player who has previously bluffed into pots without hitting the flop. However checking and calling down I believe will to often you seeing him flip over KK. Moreover any high card could become problematic on turn or river. You need to take control and make the bet on the flop.
