Avg winning hand in NLHE is 2P, not 1P.

And get rid of those obnoxious kids please.

[/ QUOTE ]

Is this really your logic? Go back to P5s please.

The more streets you play the less likely it is that TP can hold up, all else equal. Since hero never raises it up he gains very little info on each street. By the river, the avg winning NLHE hand must be taken into account. Guys with names like Phil Hellmuth agree with me.

In retrospect, he overbet the turn trying to get money in and made a bet he thought I could call on the river. Didn't like calling the turn and river bets. Maybe better to fold.

I don't see how raising at any point is better. A raise tends to get more in if I am behind and less in if I am ahead.

You dropped 11200.

If you raise the flop up to 3500 and he calls or shoves it doesn't necessarily put him on 2P+ but the chances of him having 2P+ go way up. If he calls/shoves you check/fold to the end. Total loss = 3800

That's 7400 less than you lost.

Yeh, but if you raise, you build a really big pot, and if you are say flat called, it will nr hhard to just fold to any further bets.

Plus if you are ahead, you lose any further action.

Baltostar,
Are you rasing the flop for value? or are you raising the flop as a bluff?
Unless you know the answer to that question its a terrible play.
And you wouldn't raise the flop ever as a bluff because nobody folds a better hand. So the only reason to raise the flop is for value. BTW Betgo this is a gross hand turn might be a fold.

Didn't read thread; would probably fold to the overbet.

People do this crap to get as much money in as they can. He doesn't have a draw.

Baltostar i'm going to give you some kind advice here. Your argument here is very very wrong for several reasons. You're so wrong that further posts like it will always end in ridicule.

Sit back, ask questions, and listen to what the experienced guys have to say on this site, they know what their talking about.
