Ah, sorry, I misunderstood you.

Do what I did, read about Starting Strength in the FAQ. It's designed for beginners and there's some advice on nutrition there. Then there's more nutritional advice in the FAQ as well.

But yes, you definitely need to eat something after you work out. A good mix of carbs + protein. Get a shake or a decent healthy meal.
