I like your answer Alex. Against a smallish stack number 2 has a decent chance of working. I have tried it myself with success.

I don't like it cuz making it $7.50 to go will get no callers.

raise anyways.

well, do you have a better alternative. I see why you would get no callers in my experience from playing with you, but if you start 3betting more often you'll definitely get more calls.

[/ QUOTE ]It was my first hand at the table against probable donks. I was asking in my OP if there is a better alternative, I didn't think so but no harm in asking.

You could try and get cute and make it $7, which could induce the $15 stack to move all in, which would then allow you to shove your entire stack in behind.

first hand vs. donks is an easy raise. I forgot that OP said that. They're likely to call with all kinds of hands.

you will get alot of callers imo. I know I normally get callers. Seems like a great spot. Pop it to 7.50/8 and feel happy about it.

A large raise in order definitely. I would make it 10 to go. It's a large raise but you'll be surprised what calls you. You have to give the low pocket pair terrible odds on that flopped set.

Have you played before at pokerstars .25/.5nl? I've made it 12 in this situation and lost to a flopped set of fives.
