oh, i didnt see that he reraised to 500, my mistake...
still think its a fold??
I suppose the quality of play at the $3.40 stakes would make a push justifiable

When you make that raise, you are "pot committed." You are most likely behind, but I would call. Jack on the flop Pleaae!

That's retarded thinking, sorry.

I'd just shove in the first place, as others have commented. 275 in the pot and around 1500 chips in your hand, so imagine that this is the same as 100/200 level (it basically is) and you have less than 8BB, JJ is an obvious push here.

As played, meh, you've messed up really haven't you. Still, at a $3.40 you can probably call here profitably and be up against A8o and KTs or whatever junk they play and think is "pretty".

1/3 of ur stack @ 10/20 isnt comitted @ all....
still 1k left to play with..
Valid points are that the buyin *IS* $3.40, and that the players are HORRIFIC, but against any compitent[sp] player this is an instafold IMHO

JJ is really the perfect hand for a shove preflop in this situation.
Anyway as played call. MP1 is almost certainly bad having tripled up already. UTG+1 probably has you beat on average but I think you win enough here.

The thing is even with t1000 left I have a decent chance at making the money. I definitely should have pushed though. Results if you care: both UTG+1 and MP had AA, I think SB called too but don't remember what he held. Something like KT.

It's definitely possible I push and get UTG+1 calling with KJ, MP with A8, etc., but once I made mistake of raising to 500 and facing a 5bet I really don't think so anymore. Plus, 1000 chips is enough to double up with later. Agreed shove is best, and given how I played I would have called if MP folded here.
