Re: Lego

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Plus, if 2p2 ever decides they want to host a hand converter on site, this is probably the guy to do it with. [/ QUOTE ] I would like to quote this because I think Mat should explore this opportunity. [/ QUOTE ] I try not to think about the ways 2+2 should monetize or improve the site since they don't seem interested at all. It makes my head ring. [/ QUOTE ] In case nobody has read it yet - link to Mason's "future of 2+2" letter, its relelvent because this shows how 2+2 is beginning to look at ways to monetize components of the site while providing new functions for the users. The discussions about how to improve 2+2 haven't fallen on deaf ears, biz deals are generally done in private guys |

[/ QUOTE ] From personal experience I know for a fact this this belief is incorrect. Its a small company, they move slowly but new ideas are often discussed. Mat's priority has been with the new software/web design and there was a lot of focus assigned to the new books that were recently released as well, there is a time and place for everything - patience is a virtue... whats the rush? [/ QUOTE ] The rush was three years ago. That's the rush. |

Re: Lego
TT,
As Kyle mentions, the rush was a few years ago when 2+2 had the opportunity to spin off the website as a separate entity with a few million in investment behind it to build on the poker boom and expand it into a broad young male focused lifestyle content/community site. Since they chose not to go in that direction, perhaps you are correct that there's no longer that much of a rush for doing new stuff, as the market has changed significantly since then. |
