Signed up for college jeopardy trials

i have a friend who won that and is going on the show in a month. He's HUDGE into quizbowl activities, and went to a national championship for quizbowl in highschool. this kid's pretty much like head and shoulders above everyone ever.

wait i forgot. he's doing regular jeopardy, not college.

wow, really? do you happen to know what national quizbowl he was invited to? i went to one of these in high school without studying (our state didn't have quiz bowl) - these kids were [censored] NASTY. if any of them get on jeopardy, they could go on a ken jennings like run.

If they do it like they did when I tried out a few years ago(reg jeopardy) the 1st test you take will be the hardest part. If you get past that then you start playing mock games. Obv, expect the competition to get tougher the farther you make it.

Good Luck, I'm a big fan of this stuff, and Jeopardy especially.

Fun fact: I was google image searching for alex trebek a few months ago (don't remember why, probably some stupid joke on here) and one of the first results was a giant pic of him with a girl I knew from class. Turns out she had been on College Jeopardy a few years ago, and done quite well.

He went to Brookwood in Snellville, GA. Pretty much a huge quiz bowl powerhouse. Here are their national results at the NAQT championships.

1999: 3rd
2000: 7th
2001: 5th
2002: 10th
2003: NA
2004: 19th
2005: 8th
2006: 11th
2007: 33rd

In 1996 they won the NAB naitonal championship. they pretty much rooled.
