If you miss, the .5 guy is going to shoot at jesse jackson, because otherwise jesse will kill him.

so 1/2 of the time it's you and jesse, 1/2 of the time it's you and .5 guy.

If it's you and jesse, you have a 1/3 chance to win. If it's you and .5 guy, i'm not doing the math but it's more than 1/3, maybe like 1/2.

I've seen this puzzle before, you intentionally miss because it will make the other two shoot at each other and you will get the first shot regardless of which one of those two wins their little fight. If you actually hit either one of them, they get the first shot to shoot at you, which is bad. therefore you miss.
