Forgive me if this is not comparable.

I do know that Chess Tournament results, along with the moves from the individual games, are public record, free for anybody to access, utilize, study, etc. One can find games from yesterday, from the 18th century, and as far back as records are kept.

Why should it be any different in poker?

Seriously, what is it like to be hated by EVERYONE?

I'll repeat that, wait . . .no I won't.

OK - maybe we're coming off as jerks. But do a search and you'll see that this topic has been discussed-to-death over the past few months, including having reps from Stars enter the debate.

The reasoning is clear and the work-around is pretty simple.

How they'll enforce is still a bit of a question, though...

But I'd say that 99% of us are beyond 'outrange' and have moved on to 'acceptance'...

I'm not sure how to search for this. Do you have a link?

I'm actually in favor of the policy based on gut feeling, but would like to see the pros and cons and whether a workaround is worth the risk.

Thanks for the link. After reading the thread, I've decided to opt out of whatever sites I can. If I am in a tourney, I think the less information a player has on me, the better. I keep track of my own stats, so I don't need access to any of these sites for that.

Regarding Stars decision, I am in favor of it. I think there is a big difference between being called a donkey and being proved a donkey. If I had the opportunity to suck out on Phil Helmuth, I would enjoy the tantrum that followed. It might even be worth the buy-in for that experience, but not if he could then look up my stats and rattle on about how big a loser I am.
