Re: looking into buying an infiniti g35, has been salvaged, need advic
Although I cannot intelligently comment on salvaged vehicles and whatnot, I can tell you I have been driving the G35 for years, and it is a fantastic car. For the past ten years, I have driven nothing but Infinitis, and I have been particularly happy with the 2005 G35 sedan I currently own.
You'll like it a lot...and by the way, that blue book sounded high for a 2003...did someone install some sort of serious boosters or what? |

[/ QUOTE ] what the hell does this mean? anyways, if you got that car, you would never be able to get rid of it, nobody would buy it, they are looking for a sucker. My girlfriend wrecked her car about 2 years ago, VERY VERY minor and last week there were some electrical problems creeping up because of the wreck, it is NOT worth it, especially since it will be out of warranty, this could easily become a headache for you quickly. |

Depends on what kind of damage it's been in. Sometimes a car is just in a regular fender bender and gets written off as a salvage. But if DamitBob's reply is accurate at all, it doesn't sound like you'll get a straight response. Look for another car.

Re: looking into buying an infiniti g35, has been salvaged, need advic
if it has a salvage title, you should ask about 25% of the blue book value, if and only if, you are planning on keeping the car forever. 15k @ 21k blue book is completely insane. If you could get it for 5k, than it would be worth it if you plan on driving it for 10 years.
although it looks like the car is already fixed, etc. If you really like teh car and dont plan on selling it, offer 9k cash if you ahve it. Id also look into seeing the procedure of your state for clearing your salvage title if possible. If you can clear that title, Id pay as much as 12 if it is already fixed up. |

Re: looking into buying an infiniti g35, has been salvaged, need advice
haha, i knew someone would comment on me buying an infiniti instead of an audi. I think they are just generally better cars, pretty underrated. I think I'll pass on this one based on all of the comments above. I appreciate everyone's help.

I'll echo what everyone else has been saying -- have the car inspected by a good body shop that does frame repairs. If everything checks out offer like $12k and settle on $13,xxx.
