Those betting the turn (with which i agree), are you folding to a raise?

I agree that betting out on the turn is a better play, but I still don\'t see why after checking calling is such a bad option. Hero\'s line looks like an AK or AQ hand. Raise pre-flop, c-bet on flop and then he gave up. So this might seem to villain like a good spot to bluff. So I think Hero is definitely ahead enough of the time to make this call. But things are different on the river. Hero called a 3/4 pot bet on a very dry board, pretty much announcing his hand. I think it takes balls of steel for villain to try to bluff on river having just sat for 40 hands together. Conversely, his river bet would make a lot of sense if he flopped trips. He thinks you\'ll call with your overpair so he shoves.

Basically, I think a turn call will give you a lot of information on his river action and is therefore a good play. Of course this strategy is exploitable, but I don\'t get why people get so worked up about it. This wouldn\'t be the line I use every time against the people I play with, but against a total stranger in the first 40 hands, I think it\'s actually pretty good =) Thoughts?

I don't mind a check if he's stupid enough to take a shot at you with any piece but will probably fold to 2 barrels. But yeah, get it in etc.
