Maybe David Grey said this because at the level he is playing there aren't as many fish who will call with second nuts.

But he isn't playing at any level for Omaha, he said that himself.

I think his opinions are as they is because he is generally extremely nitty in every game he plays and I don't think he is the kind of player who could make a largish score in a game unless he makes a lot of hands. ie. he doesn't bluff nearly enough. And for his nut-peddling style his comments are quite right because money does go in 60/40 a lot of the time in omaha.
But then again he isn't an expert in omaha so he can't really say what an expert in omaha would or should do. LAG > TAG in deep stacked omaha no question about it.
