I didnt even see the limper fold or call

no but if he folds you win t250 and not t150, which you would if there was no limper.
understand now?

[/ QUOTE ]

hes risks 1700 to win 250 not good.

He risks 6.8:1 with the 6th best hand and a player who is described as someone who might even call with a much worser hand here. So things are o.k. for Hero.

However, such calculations as above are inaccurate. Ask your ICM tools given reasonable limp/call-ranges and Blind-defend-ranges given the reads and you will find out that pushing is slightly +EV. If Hero feels incomfortable to play it postflop (reasonable given the stacks+reads and a very bad playable hand for postflop), he should shove it pf.

if blinds were sth like 85/165, you would play push or fold with a stack of 1700.
it's the very same situation, since the unraised pot is 250, when it gets to hero.

It's basically a 10x BB shove that's why I like it. If I run into a hand behind me, well I would've gone broke anyways (I don't see myself raising 1/4th my stack and mucking to BB shove). UTG calls me with 22-88 and a lot of ace rags. I can't remember how active I had been in this one, but at it's only 50/100, I can't imagine ever raising weak and opening anything less than 99/AQs.

pits bad way to think expect to be looked up by 1010+ only when called, 1700 to win 170 blind 99 is still thin, 1010 is nicer. Limper doesnt do much if late position is stronger.
