It is spread at the Borgata mostly in a mixed format game such as HORSE, but i have seen it spread by itself there on occasion.

You might have saw HOSE, but no Razz. Razz is not an authorized casino/poker game in Atlantic City.

This is true, but it's possible that the Borgata may have spread it anyway due to customer demand and their willingness to pay rake/time. Still, I'd need a very reliable source to believe that the Borg would take that kind of risk.

They spread 2-7 last year during the open for the high limit celebs. They have broken the rules in the past, I guess anything is possible if you spread around enough $$$

I agree - need some confirmation of time and limit this game was offered. If so, Borgata would have to rake ALOT of money from this game to justify taking the risk and a large fine from the CCC.

I do not see why the casinos do not go to the CCC and ask for Razz to be an authorized casino game. The CCC pretty much rubber stamps what the casinos want, "for the better of the industry and competition".

Failed Taj Mahal experiment from what I've heard. I don't understand why Borg doesn't ask for Razz, Triple Draw, etc to be approved - I'm sure it would be no problem (besides training dealers which would be a huge pain).

Mambo was an attempt to provide a sort of hybrid stud/holdem/high-low game. Players were dealt one down and one up, after which the low card brought it in. Second round was dealt down, at which point first action was on the highest card showing. Third round was a community card, another round of betting, and a showdown.

So this was three-card poker (i.e., a straight was better than a flush); additionally you could win the low side by making your best three card low, but the qualifier was "six or better" (like the eight or better rule that most of us have seen in "normal" split pot games).

When Taj first rolled it out, I gave it a try--but I quickly saw how silly a game it was (this would have been sometime in the late 90s), and moved on.

Wouldn't triple draw be allowed since its 5 card draw? The rules don't state betting limits/rounds etc.

Maybe someone who is A/C all the time needs to start a petition for the Borg to ask for the CCC to update the rules (hint hint). I'd gladly sign, and you'd probly see me in A/C every other weekend if it passed.
