Re: NCAAF rankings after week 3
1t) LSU A&M
1t) USC 3t) Florida 3t) Oklahoma 5) Cal-Berkeley 6) Oregon 7t) Penn State 7t) tOSU 9) Boston College 10) South Carolina Notice West VA is not in the top ten. That is not an accident. It could change, but I was not impressed with them versus Maryland. |

Re: NCAAF rankings after week 3
Until more games have been played and these teams deal with a couple more tests, I think there's no point in quibbling over #1 vs. #2 or whatever, but I think that the teams divide well into groups.
Top 4: Florida, LSU, Oklahoma, USC (note the intentional alphabetical order) I think that for the moment these four are clearly more deserving of the top spots than anyone else, the only question mark any of them have is "have they really been tested yet"? The second group is other teams that look top-ten-worthy so far, but have question marks of some kind, and includes Boston College, Cal, Clemson, Ohio State, Oregon, Penn State, and West Virginia (yeah, that's seven, so I have a top 11, sue me). Also, while I'm not going to put them anywhere near the top ten right now, one underrated team is Kansas. I don't care *how* bad your first three opponents are, when you outscore them 159-20 you're doing something right. They deserve more than the single 25th place vote they got in the AP poll. |

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] I don't care what you rank UF, it doesn't really matter until the LSU game. I think USCe is still too high but they have a chance to prove themselves this weekend. [/ QUOTE ] I'll give Florida the love. They deserved to jump over Oklahoma the way they beat Tennessee. [/ QUOTE ] Nah, we both killed 2 really weak teams. It doesn't matter yet. [/ QUOTE ] True, it doesn't matter, but still a more impressive win over Tennessee. Sagarin has OU's SOS as 152nd in the country, so OU obviously hasn't been tested yet. Of course, with a new QB, I'm glad to have gotten these lighter games to start the season. |

Re: NCAAF rankings after week 3
I don't know if USC is that fast or Nebraska is that slow, but one looked like they had track shoes on and the other was playing in mud. I felt bad for Nebraska.
