How much would you bet, I'm more likely to do something dumb like fold if i bet much less.

In reraised pots you more or less act like it was an sng, since you'll get all in anyway. So default is half pot with adjustments for board texture etc

Edit:
Also in RR's pots default is going broke with overpair like AA

Um, what? Bet enough on the flop so you have one bet left to put in on the turn.

You're getting 4:1 to call here. There's no way you can fold.

Against a range of: QQ,KK,33,55,88 you're slightly ahead.

He was the PFR, which makes it even more likely he has a sucky overpair instead of the set. His aggression numbers are also insane.

Instacall, suck it up if he has the set this time.

Sometimes you find yourself in a lot of RR's pots where you do not wish to go broke everytime (like holding 56s(in those cases half pots gets you all in on river anyway but keeps cbetting cheap

The question is why would you ever want to fold against this guy?

He doesn't have KK or QQ he would have pushed, TT or JJ i thought he probably calls with AJ+ as well as any PP and christ knows what else, turned out he had 88, I should probably have bet more, because as it turns out he had the version of stars without a fold button, and I ended up getting 85% of the money in way behind as is the norm at the moment.

I think that if you overbet you are doing it to get all in as soon as posible, or to muck if he folds. If you are worried about 55, and based on how you saw villian play you think that folding is a choice when facing a 3bet... then you shouldn't overbet.

If you want to price him out of calling preflop w/ his pocket pair then you need to re-raise much bigger. Seeing his stats though, i doubt hes folding regardless of the size of your preflop raise. When you overbet the flop you committ yourself to the hand. Lesson learned: dont overbet pot with 1 pair.
