I'm running about break-even for non-pair hands so pairs are generating all of the moola. Small sample but you might want to analyse which non-pair hands are hurting you - your losses with these look a bit big. Last time I did a stats analysis, I picked up some problems with connectors - might be a good place to start checking.

PT data can be a bit deceptive with SCs, it's worth while investigating the math behind those hand rather than relying solely on empirical data, due to the fact they dont get dealt as often as some other hands and they tend to win huge pots but rarely, so they suffer much more from variance than say AK.

Good point Mack. I suppose you would need a massive sample to start drawing conclusion just on the basis of the data. I do use the data to identify leaks but I tend to soend mroe time then analysing specific hands e.g. found from the data that I was cold-calling with suited connectors alot of the time and then started digging into hands to indentify reasons, etc.

Not everyone does (at least i dont). i would say the cutoff for calling in the blinds is 66 and below. However, if the button has been stealing blinds all day i will re-raise 77+ all day and show him my hand to convince him to stop bullying my blind.

You are obviously going to lose a lot with non-pair hands because you are losing a lot in the blinds.

[/ QUOTE ]

yes - as a rough estimate 10k non-pair hands = 1666 orbits = $1250 in blinds posted @ $50NL but you've lost only ~$600 over those hands.

This thread got me to look if I'm up with non-pair hands, and I'm break even. My stats aren't near those of a set-miner though.
