OP is dead against the range CO elects to call the cbet with [/ QUOTE ] if this is true, then you are right. i wasnt putting him on THAT tight of a range though. a 23/17's raising range from the CO is quite large. and after the BB coldcalled, CO is getting even better odds to call with a wide variety of hands. |

i wasnt putting him on THAT tight of a range though. [/ QUOTE ] By betting the flop Kimpan already heavily overrepresents the strength of his hand (considering he plays quite straightforward and tight normally). And i doubt villain is bad enough to call preflop with trash or highly speculative hands and def. doesn't float this flop often enough. |

Re: JTs, top pair vs tag.
Don't listen to dragon, he's pretty much dead wrong in this case.
3-betting JTs is perfectly fine in this spot, but keep in mind this type of flop is not ideal. First and foremost 3-betting JTs is a semi-bluff pf and you hope to take the pot down there. You are not looking to stack off when you flop TP with JTs. On the flop, I like sixhigh's analysis all the way. |

Re: JTs, top pair vs tag.
3-betting JT is fine, and c/d turn is std here

Re: JTs, top pair vs tag.
So the better line here would be to check flop?
