Congrats Rusty for winning and good game to everyone who participated.

I don't think I have ever played so tight. Part of it was I was getting hands at the start.

Looking through I know there are a few hands I really misplayed. I have sent Rusty my hh file but I will probably at some point post a couple of my hands.

gg all, good tourney prax. for the most part the play was way better than a typical $10 sng, so you can all feel proud of that. And Rusty and parallax can enjoy the extra $5 overlay

[/ QUOTE ]

They sure earned it. Tho' maybe you should give it to Chips as a bead beat bonus - or just Bad trny bonus!

Or to yourself for the best shortstack play I ever saw in a Razz trny.

[/ QUOTE ]

Yeah, give it to Chips!

GG all, I don't think I've ever busted out first in a SnG before... I'll look forward to discussing the hands well as commenting how awesome I play with A24QQ and 724KKKK

OK, my version:

3rd Street - (1.00 SB)

Seat 1: xx xx 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]___calls___calls
Hero: 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]___completes
Seat 4: xx xx Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]___brings-in___folds
Seat 5: xx xx 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]___folds
Seat 7: xx xx 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]___folds
Seat 8: xx xx 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]___folds

I put you on A2 as soon as you called with the 9. I figured the bring-in would fold if I completed, so it was like a HU hand when I am bring-in and have two wheel cards and call the completion. Worth a look.

4th Street - (3.33 SB)

Seat 1: xx xx 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]___raises
Hero: 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]___bets___calls

This was my mistake, I should have reraised. I figure this kind of raise for finding out if I have anything underneath.

5th Street - (3.67 BB)

Seat 1: xx xx 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]___calls
Hero: 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]___bets

You aren't ahead here the way I see it. You have a four card 9 that is worse than my four card 9. The K and T are just bricks.

6th Street - (5.67 BB)

Seat 1: xx xx 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]___calls
Hero: 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]___bets

You aren't ahead here, either. I have a made 9/5. You have a made 9/7. Which I figured at the time. And I have a wheel draw. So, I have much the best hand. Except you never have the best until the river, of course.

River - (7.67 BB)

Seat 1: xx xx 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] xx___calls
Hero: 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]___bets

Uh-oh. Blanked the river. There's a 66% chance you did, too. So, of course, I bet what had the best chance of being the best hand.

Win big or lose big.

Nice hand, there, Rusty.

And, Ceegee - I wasn't trying a steal. I was just playing.

I notice that the HHs don't show the game number - I thought if we post hands and we add the game number, we can find it easier to say what we had, or Rusty can find it easier. Or maybe we should just ask him to post for us, I hate to offer his time, tho,' it's a big job.

Also, here is the order of Seat occupancy, if you want you can copy and paste at the top of an HH.

Seat 1: Rusty Brooks
Seat 2: Wetdog
Seat 3: Praxising
Seat 4: Parallax
Seat 5: SGspecial
Seat 6: Chips Ahoya
Seat 7: ceegee
Seat 8: kerze

Yeah, this is an interesting one, it was confusing to watch, I can't wait to see if they BOTH paired to have checked here.

5th Street - (3.67 BB)

And I want Seat 5 (SG) to say why he called here.

I was without a clue by the river who had the best hand.

I have "the best hand", but yeah, I'm a 55:45 dog, equity wise. It's pretty close. If you know I have A2 I think a bet is good here because I'm still guessing about your hand.

Yep, I agreed above that you're ahead here, but I'm pretty sure at this point that I know what you have too. I have odds to call.

[ QUOTE ]

[/ QUOTE ]

I disagree with this reasoning - I am only calling you if I improve, you literally can not have a worse hand than a 97. You are not a favorite to win if I call, and I might raise - I should have raised.

[ QUOTE ]
And, Ceegee - I wasn't trying a steal. I was just playing.

[/ QUOTE ]

Hmm... if you bet with a K in your hand, I call that trying to steal.

I think this hand has probably the 2nd biggest mistake of the whole sng for me, which was calling 5th. When comparing the hands we actually had it's a pretty clear call but you could have had me badly crushed and I could have needed 2 cards to beat you. For some reason, from your actions, I decided you were trying to push me out, and honestly I do get a little suspicious whenever someone has a mandatory bet. I really thought you'd paired - when someone shows 3 low cards there is a 50% chance they have one pair, and since I thought you could have completed with a 9 down that makes the chance of a pair somewhat likely. Without thinking you had a 4 card hand on 5th I don't think I could call. Since I was right it worked out but that hand could have been a disaster.

I was in the hand, and no doubt ahead of both of you on 4th with a 4 card 7. I checked with a good amount of my outs dead

Ceegee- I assume you are talking about the 3 way hand with myself, you and SG I posted above. After, SG limped and then called a completion and raise, I figured he had at least a 3 card 6 and was making a play. On 4th, he checked and then you took a long time and in the chat made a comment about me calling if you bet. I was suspicious of SG's check and then your actions/comments made me think you had a 4 card hand better than mine. I was happy to get the free card. If you bet, I might have folded here because I was afraid that SG was on a check/raise play.

On 5th, I have a made 96 vs two drawing hands my draw cards are very live (only 1 two, no 4's, and one 7 out)so I bet out hoping to get at least one of the drawing hands out.

On 6th, I have not thrilled with SG presumably making his 8 and me pairing my 6 but I'm getting 8.67:1 and still have live draws. I have done some sims and I think I have about 23% equity at this point.

On 7th, I make my 86. Again I'm not thrilled but I am getting 11.67:1. I need about my equity to be about 9% to make this a call. Looking at it now I don't know if I was right. I don't think SG has 87 so I can only beat him if his down cards are 64 or 62 and he bricked on the river, we tie with 6A and I lose to A2, A4, and 24. However, I still have to worry about ceegee. What does his call mean? Has he made his 7 or would he raise that? Would he call with 87 or worse? If we put a unique card 9 or lower into ceegee's range then I have about 9% equity. If we lower it to 8 or better then I have only about 5% equity and should fold. I think I should have folded. I can't see him calling with just a 97 unless I think that he thinks that SG is FOS and he is willing to risk that I caught really bad on 7th.

Edited to add - looking at this now on the river, cegee only had 372 in chips back before he had to act with the big bet at 300 -this means that a raise would only have been 72 or .24 of a big bet so I guess that part of the disucssion is really irrelevant

FMP (too late to edit)

Did the other participants think I was playing supertight and if so did it affect your play any. There were a couple of hands in the midstages where I think I used what I thought was my perceived table image to my advantage.
