More reasons to shove -

His bet size (1/5th effective) is really awkward for you, because if you call, you have 2x pot behind, which means he can threaten your whole stack fairly cheaply (see turn action as the hand played out). And raising forces you to overbet.

Since he knows this, he can make this raise with air much more comfortably than if you had 12k or 30k. You're naturally exploitable because of your stack size and bet size (the 1200); he's aware of this and capable of taking advantage, and the hand you have has better equity vs his calling range than nearly any other hand, but plays kinda [censored] postflop when you just call.

I definitely shove pre here against most people I consider to be better than me.

flatcalling here is so bad. aba is so far ahead of everyone at NL, including hero here. As such, hero's best way to maximize expectation is to obviously shove.

Playing AK for sole value against Aba is goofy because he's good enough not to stack off with 2nd best hands with the same frequency that others would, and adding the value of having position on aba is relatively meaningless, as the potsize is awkward and aba will be able to dictate the size of the pot in the hand to his liking more often than you can control things in position, imo.

Any line other than shoving pre is a gigantic mistake.

Everyone who's saying Shove pf Aba plays so well postflop. Obv Aba is very very good but I mean if you call pf the pot is like 10k and we have 15k behind... he can't really outplay us that much unless your completely awful postflop. FWIW I still prob 4bet but instead of shoving I'd make it like 10k to go.
