College bar = more people who can't handle their booze = more fights = more likely for you to get beat up. Whats the capacity of the bar? And how much security do they employ for an average busy night? if they expect you to do all of the id-ing/kicking people out on top of normal managerial duties then you are totally wasting your time.

I was a bouncer for a bit. You never get your ass kicked. Just don't be a douchebag instigator. It's not your job. Your job to neutralize situations when they arise. For every fight you break up, there are 25 people you ask to leave just because they've been cut off by the bartender and those people can barely walk. Maybe, they'll yell, but they're too disoriented to get violent.

like everyone else said, lol at college bar not being too bad IMO they re worse than some ghetto club.

i work part time as a security/bar manager at a really nice place, so we dont really have too many problems. we've had maybe 2 real fights in a couple of years, usually just have to kick people out for being drunk

even in a college bar, people fighting aren't usually going to be mad at YOU, or want to fight you, as long as you re level headed. you'll have to kick alot of people out for beng too drunk and sometimes they wont want to leave, and you and a couple other guys will have to "walk them out", sometimes that can escalate. honestly though i wouldnt work in a college bar for any amount of money
