because they're better than roughly 10 teams on that list

many teams get rolled down in Baton Rouge when things go bad

though they didn't look good v ECU on offense, the Hokie defense is strong and will be there all season.

Defense is what propelled a pretty ordinary Florida offense to a title last year. V Tech isn't far from that.

I still think VT is probably a top 25 team, but I can see some justification for leaving them out.

looks like all the Pac10 teams will beat up on each other this year. clearly the best conference from what i've seen so far.
