Re: JJ overpair in reraised pot (200NL)
[ QUOTE ]
He likely has a 9. [/ QUOTE ] I disagree. His turnbet means a) He has a big overpair and only needs two streets to get it in so why bet the flop b) he has a small overpair and was afraid of overcards but with that turn card he can bet. |

Re: JJ overpair in reraised pot (200NL)
i don't see what kind of 9 he could have.
i think his range is pretty narrow, TT+, AK, maybe AQ, maybe very rarely he decides to make a move preflop and raise with any suited connectors or stuff (that may of course include a 9). i was pretty sure he planned on check-raising the flop with an overpair. if he had AK, maybe he put me on AK too after the flop and tried to take it down? if so, he could bluff the river with AK because "my hand is pretty transparent" as was said (although i could see myself play AA like this). maybe i should add that i play pretty tight. villain for sure knows that i will not call preflop with garbage, so we probably have about the same range. |

Re: JJ overpair in reraised pot (200NL)
No Jam is right, 9x is pretty likely here. So are sets and AA/KK. I'd play this the same from the turn forward, but I agree with Jam as well about betting the flop. I'd fold for sure on river though.
