Default Been playing all wrong, or the new long term?

I used to hear old timers complain about how Bad Beat Jackpot's ruin the game, but I never understood how they thought BBJ's ruined the game until last week.

~~
Holdem Bad Beat Jackpot during this overheard conversation is at $24K and change.

Overheard at a $2-4 table last Friday night as K7o went from a pair of sevens to a full house and took down a juicy pot. Fwiw, Villian was not in the hand at the river, but folded on the turn.

Hand loser: “How can that guy play sh!t like that???”

Villain: “For the Bad Beat Jackpot...”

Hand loser: “But those cards are absolute crap!”

Villain: “I have been part of four Bad Beats in the last year.

You never know when the bad beat will hit.

I went up a total of over $18,000.00.

Once I was the bad beat, once the winner, two other times I was just at the table.

I am still up $7,000.00

I am way ahead, I only play when the Jackpot is over $23,000.00.

Some of my friends also play just for the Bad Beat Jackpot,

Then Villain swept his hand towards seats 1-4 and said two of them were his friends.

They aren’t doing as good as I am though.”
