You can think positive about variance too. That's what I do. When I have a bad run, I remember a time when I ran good. When I have a downswing, I remember a time when I had a big upswing. When I have a bad beat, I remember a time when I sucked out (and don't tell me you never suckout, you rarely get your money in bad so you don't suckout a lot of times, but you do it occassionaly). Save those memories somewhere in your mind. I LOVE variance. It is the beauty of poker. Otherwise it would be just boring. Just some psychological advice about how to deal with variance. The other 1% it is harder. For example, I can usually smile over one bad beat, but if you play 6 tables 6max and take four in a row, it is a little harder. But you can do it too.
