Probabily not all the time...
I call here with any ace vs a TAG, so im sure some calling stations might.

It's an easy call down if you put TAG on Top pair + or stron draw... which I would.
Against an unknown its def not an easy call down... I exagerated..

But the second part of your sentence I agree with too so its a moot point.
