OK, I agree with you vs a normal opponent I would bet here around 70 too, but this is a very strange nit.

My notes on him: ( I wrote it above too, dunno why they didn't got posted)
He never reraises PF (NEVER).
So he could easily hold an overpair here.
Thats why I make this huge and fishy overbet, just hoping he holds a big pair and calls me.

You know he can't have a real strong hand and you are asking him to make a hero call - most players, even as decribed above, just don't make calls like that more than once in a blue moon.
