Re: NL10 - KK in the blinds, awful flop
[ QUOTE ]
a cbet here is mandatory and takes the pot most of the times. The result in this particular case should't bother you. You've made the corect play. [/ QUOTE ] I disagree with this. If you bet, you never get a better hand to fold, you never get three streets worth of value, and you can't call a raise (something he could do with a jack, a lower pair, or nothing). Against this passive of a player, I'd rather check to him and see what he does first. If he bets, I'm pretty much married to the hand because he almost never has trips. |

3-bet to like $1.2 pre-flop. Check-call flop. [/ QUOTE ] What's the line after that if villain checks behind? Also, are you check calling to the river? |

If you lead into him, you're basically inviting a bluff/a jack to outplay you. |

Re: NL10 - KK in the blinds, awful flop
Kos,
I think a lot of what you are saying is true. I think this hand has a lot of competing variables. You probably won't be good if you get AI but the pot is large so you should want to bet. If you bet he will tend to play correctly. I wouldn't expect this guy to raise us with a worse hand but it is hard to know for sure. I think the best play is checking and calling a reasonable bet. If he bets again on the turn I can bet pretty sure I am beat and lay down my hand. I don't think he will play QQ or JJ like that. When he checks the flop I would bet the turn and the river expecting to get looked up by QQ-88 or so. |

Re: NL10 - KK in the blinds, awful flop
Depending of villains and yours actions, lets say, in last orbit or two, I would bet either 0.5 or 1.3. I find your bet on flop pretty reasonable, though. Fold? Heck... it's tough. I guess both decisions would be correct and wrong at the same time.
