futuredoc, with non-premium but playable hands, you would flat them all preflop? For example: KQs, 89s, 55

block for like 70

[/ QUOTE ]

River: ($151) 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 Players)
Hero bets $67.00, BTN calls $67.00

Pot Size: $285.00 ($2 Rake)

BTN had 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (three of a kind, Fours) and WON (+$141.00)
Hero had J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (a pair of Aces) and LOST (-$142.00)

meh... what does blocking accomplish? i can't think of a hand worse than AJ that gets to the river.

edit: or a better hand that it folds out.. AQ seems really unlikely

Future,

What if you are 200bbs deep vs. someone who is stealing 32-35%... they are in the CO, you are on the button. Do you mind 3 betting these medium strength hands with position?

pf is good, your ahead of a 21/17's steal range here. After he calls the turn bet I'm pretty much don't with the hand. lol at villian just calling on the river.

The key is that we are deep - you dont want to build a pot with a hand that doesnt want a big pot. Its better to 3bet hands that can flop big like SCs and PPs (although thats no saying you should) since you can happily keep building it

I think this is played fine so far. I am very often double barrelling that turn with air, so I think your turn play is fine.

grunch, check turn, you definitely have the best hand, im willing to stack off to AK. but take a line that will let you get value from a king, like check turn bet river
