Re: 2+2 lame thread of the day
[ QUOTE ]
I will say it took me a while to get over my ex, and it led to a lot of soul searching because i realized i was living my life for someone other than myself, and that backfired on me. [/ QUOTE ] Don't mean to stray from the point of your post, but I love this line. I'm just now getting over something similar, and it's comforting to read about someone else realizing it and dealing with it. Good luck, Wichita. I'm not sure if you ever get over it, because we just broke up a few weeks ago. |

Re: 2+2 lame thread of the day
[ QUOTE ]
I'm wondering if you just haven't met the right chick yet to make you get over this girl once and for all. I know that I personally had, as I call it, a "unicorn" or guy that was always in the back of my mind for years regardless of who I was dating. 'Chair had the same with his ex from high school. Then we got together, and I know at least for me, I was finally able to put my unicorn to rest. It was an extreme relief and felt very peaceful. All of this is just speculation, though, and no one can figure all of this out except you. [/ QUOTE ] FFK, Do you think it's easier for hot, smart college girls to "move on", find love again, etc. than your avg. joe? |

Re: 2+2 lame thread of the day
No. Maybe a really dumb/emotionally unintelligent girl.. but where I went to school everybody was smart, and trust me, everybody had relationship angst. There was this one girl who was in Seventeen magazine and was beautiful and had guys THROWING themselves at her, and she would cry at night for years over this loser who dumped her and started f-ing her roommate. I think a hot girl may have more distractions but in terms of getting over things, they probably hold on just as long, if not longer, than your average guy.

Keep in mind, you were young and stupid then. Also, you're young and stupid now.

bisonbison,
I'm sorry - are you calling me dumb? Who were you referring to? |

It sounds to me like part of it is Alobar's thing, cause this was his young love common-law wife for whom a small but significant hole in his heart will always linger, and part of it is that he's been with the same girl for 3 years so a bit of the excitement has died down there and he's just got his head up his ass over a facebook invite. |

I was anticipating that being an animated GIF where if I waited long enough he'd get t-boned.

Re: 2+2 lame thread of the day
blocking her from your mind will kind of work. however you need to figure out why you like this girl so much and grow as a person and stuff.
