Royce is the most important fighter ever. Not the greatest though.

Couture, Hughes, Lidell and others all had more impressive runs.

[/ QUOTE ]

Actually ...... NO they did not. Tell me what is more impressive about their runs and I will tell you why you are wrong. YOU KNOW NOTHING.

LOL at i know nothing.

Royce never beat a true MMA fighter in the UFC idiot.

What he did was prove the effectiveness of BJJ.

Sorry if the truth hurts idiot. I'm fairly sure i know 20 times as much about the history of martial arts and mixed martial arts as you do.

Couture - 15 title fights in the UFC. 10-5 in those matches.

More impressive than submitting boxers.

I'll tell you what's more impressive about their runs: they fought actual competition. Back in Royce's day his family was it as far as MMA went.

Liddell has had 6 title fights in a row, and has beaten Jeremy Horn, Murilo Bustamante, Kevin Randleman, Jeff Monson, Guy Metzger, Vitor Belfort, Tito Ortiz, Randy Couture (x2), and Renato Babalu Sobral.

More impressive than submitting Karate experts.

Ken Shamrock knew a couple leglocks, and couldn't strike for crap in that first fight. He really was a poor wrestler with poor submissions and poor striking.

Like i said, name me a true MMA fighter that Royce beat, not a one dimensional tool. Once Ken learned what the 'guard' was, and how to play the top position to stall, he sat in guard easily and got a draw.

Hughes - Something like 11 title fights in the UFC, going 9-2 in those title fights. Two more 'title' fights if you count when he beat Royce (title not on the line) and Riggs (Riggs didn't make weight, no title on the line), with two more wins.

Beaten Riggs, GSP, BJ Penn, Frank Trigg, Sean Sherk, Carlos Newton, Sakurai.

That's more impressive than what Royce did.
