Am I the only one who folds the flop in the second hand? The flop check-raise screams two pair or a big Ace to me. What are we beating here?

First hand I call down.

If you decided that you were going to take top pair to the showdown every time in a blind battle, it wouldnt be too far from wrong.

I thnk you meant to say the opposite of what you actually said.

You have reads in either hand? In hand 1, I'm tempted to play WA/WB as the board is pretty dry, and BB 3-bets *tend* to be pretty big hands.

Im trying to say that its rarely correct to fold top pair in a blind battle. Is that the way that it came across?

Hand One:
I think I would have just called the turn in hand one. You might be buried but you have outs. As you played it (and given you haven't given a read on the villain), you have to call the three-bet. A river call (for me) would be read-dependent.

Hand Two:
There's no way I fold top pair in a blind battle.

Sort of - when you say it wouldn't be too far FROM wrong, that seems to indicate CLOSE to wrong, whereas you are trying to say that you wouldn't be too far wrong, which means you're mostly right.

/ diction nit.
