This hand is pretty poorly played on every street. I'd bet the flop. Raise much bigger on turn and as AJ said don't raise if you are just gonna fold on the river, but keep the pot small.

Checking flop is fine, but then you have to call river

if your going to check, which imo, you shouldn't--- the reason your checking is pot control b/c your not planning on dumping your hand.

in general, if i'm in a situation where i'm in position and want to keep a pot small, i usually prefer checking the flop to the turn, because it gives our opponent one less chance to bet. if he has something good, he might c/r with it on the flop, whereas if the flop gets checked through, villain now has to bet out the turn, since its not nearly as likely that you bet the turn. once you do this though, you can't really trust any bets from your opponent to be genuine signs of strength.

If you're going for pot control I like betting the flop and checking the turn much better... you'll induce a river bluff this way

I check this flop for several reasons. I don't want to be checkraised into a very difficult position. The other reason is that it increases the range of hands the villain is gonna commit some money with. When i say check i don't mean check/fold, just keeping the pot small.
