Most schools have rules against gambling on campus. You probablly shouldn't play cards there. College IT departments are pretty advanced now. Your's might be monitoring for 'illegal' activity. The risk of getting caught is not worth the reward. Any type of disciplinary sanction looks horrible on a college transcripts. Just study while at school and play off campus.

if it's communist-run countries you're talking about, sure.

Someone at my college very recently got arrested for downloading kiddie porn on the school internet.

Poker, however, I don't think they care at all. I've played on school computers a few times and nothing bad happened.

i imagine a wireless internet card (verizon/sprint/etc) would be safer than the school's internet, but just a guess.

the problem is with playing on Full Tilt, not what internet connection you use. I was half-joking when I made the initial comment. I still play on FT, but I would never keep a significant amount of money there for very long.

lol...right? My school has had two separate write ups in the school newspaper about succesful poker players and portraying them in a positive light. The first one was about Strassa and then there was another that mentioned Strassa, HoldemPhil, and Genius28. Its also pretty widely known that a 5/5 game with all kinds of side ation was held semi-regularly in the basement of a dorm and several of the kids that play it are also known. Maybe thats just us though and I hope I didn't just fall for a sick level.

OP, you should be fine if you change passwords every few days.
