Re: Chances of only ever getting 72o
[ QUOTE ]
Are we up to 16.5 billion already? [/ QUOTE ] Good point. If we use a more reasonable estimate that maybe 100 million persons have ever played holdem, there is about a 0.6% chance that it has happened. But I think 5 hands is a low tolerance. Most would at least keep playing until the blinds come around before they quit for good. |

[/ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] If everyone in the world played five hands of hold'em, by random luck, one person would get 72o five times in a row. [/ QUOTE ] I was questioning the "everyone in the world", not the number of people that have played holdem. 1/((12/1326)^5) = 16,474,467,659.40625 |

Re: Chances of only ever getting 72o
I've always wondered who has been dealt pocket aces the most times in a row in the history of the world, and how many times they were dealt it.

Re: Chances of only ever getting 72o
That might be tough to answer for a multitabler. Say he's playing 10 tables and he notices that at 5 of them he has been dealt a pair of AA. He would have to know the precise time that each one was dealt.

Re: Chances of only ever getting 72o
If you make the numbers (trials) big enough, everything happens.
Including one player getting 27o every hand he plays for a lifetime. AND him winning every one of those hands |
