FL, DJ,

I'm going to Argentina in December. Let me know if you're there then. Great place I've heard from everyone who has been there. I'm staying in BA for a while and then trying to do Patagonia as much as I can. Try to check out Chile if you can, too. I want to snowboard while I'm there but I'm not sure it'll work out.

Peru is also a great place to look at, I've had a couple friends go visit MP and love it. But from what I've heard the rest of the country is pretty great, too.

Yeah, probably not. The snow isn't usually very good in the middle of the summer.

Thanks for the advice so far, this is a great forum.

I think we are planning to go sometime in winter, probably sometime between October and January.

I don't speak spanish fluently, but probably know enough to get by (took it for 7 years in school). DJ Sensei does not but is a smart guy and will probably pick it up pretty quick.

I think more people speak English than I believe since I never try and I'm sure you will be fine. Be prepared to have to speak a little if necessary.

You are going at the end of spring / beginning of summer which should be a good time. If the weather is warm enough, try to go down to Patagonia if you like the outdoors and mountains. Check out the glaciers.

Nail down the exact time of year and how long you will be coming and we can come up with an idea of where you will have time and want to go.

The glaciers are there. I guess you could take a snowboard and knock yourself out. But the really cold regions of Patagonia aren't where the good skiing mountains are. Ski season will be over in one month from now at the latest.

I'll put this in here cause the thread is fresh:

I'm living in Buenos Aires for a month, just got in 2 days ago.

Is there a casino here with no limit?

Where should I try to get drugs from? Are cops bribe-able if I get in trouble?

The metered taxis that start at 2 point something pesos are not a rip off right? Are there any taxis with dodgey meters? I'm traveling with an azn women and I have red hair so we're obv gringos, will they try to take us the long way?

Is the city safe for a women at night by herself?

Any particularly cool things I shouldn't miss while I'm here?

Surprisingly, I was aware of that! Who would have thought that during our four years of real education we had time to learn things like hemispherical weather differences. maybe you can help us out with shapes and colors though, we didn't have time for those.
