he just went all-in 3 hands in a row. His range is ATC. Any Ax, Kx hand we have, we should be calling with at a minimum. Also 88+.

If Kx, why not 55? 55 is almost the same against random as KQ.
My friend pointed to me that his range is probably not random but something like any ace, any pair which puts KQ in an even worse shape.

i'm never waiting for a better hand, but i would wait longer than 3 hands before i start calling with anything better than random. if it was 5 straight hands, i'd look him up. even if he wins, he'll probably just keep doing it.

OK - i just pokerstoved, and I would call anything where I have 60/40 advantage, so I'm changing my range to 55+, Ax.

i think this is a matter of personal preference and how much variance you can take - i personally think 3 is enough.

This is not a SNG. Its nice that we have some huge manly men who want to flip coins but the smart money is on fold.

This is the easiest call in the world, considering your roll is 400 buyins I think we can manage to lose one here, and you can't forget those times when your A7 wins with the board showing 4568! Or even sometimes the board will be JQ774!

In the word of Matt Damon; "You can't lose what you don't put in the pot, but you can't win much either". I elect to call in hopes he has K10!

i don't see what's so much more scary about putting your stack in with a small edge preflop than all the coinflipping we do after the flop on any given day. i mean, its one thing to say we don't have enough evidence at this point to consider ourselves at an advantage. its another to say that we have an advantage, but we're just going to throw it away to avoid variance. playing an agressive style on nl6max tables lends itself to much more variance than most formats. if you had the need to play it safe, i don't see the point in playing it in the first place when a person could just farm sets at a full ring table, or play cap, or whatever.
