fair enough...if this isn't a good play, what are your thoughts on when it IS a good idea to shove the turn in a rr pot. I can't help but think we should be bluffing sometimes in a perfect world.

Or does it even matter since the people we are generally stacking aren't even paying attention?

jk,

The fact that he isn't a 2+2er makes him more likely to be a station and call with whatever the hell he has.

as far as semibluffing, heres one i had the other day against another 2p2er:

Absolute Poker
No Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $1/$2
6 players
Converter

Stack sizes:
UTG: $165
UTG+1: $396.70
CO: $240.95
Button: $483.40
orange: $425.45
BB: $589.83

Pre-flop: (6 players) orange is SB with A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
UTG folds, UTG+1 raises to $8, 2 folds, orange raises to $27, BB folds, UTG+1 calls.

Flop: 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($56, 2 players)
orange bets $40, UTG+1 calls.

Turn: 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($136, 2 players)
orange bets $111, UTG+1 folds.
Uncalled bets: $111 returned to orange.

Results:
Final pot: $136

This isn't that good of a turn to shove on because the turn card only could have improved his hand. KQ, KJ may fold if you have the right image, but they both picked up gutters which provides a little extra incentive to call. T9 improved to 2 pair and QJ improved to the nuts.

Hands that call flop and fold to turn shove are AT,JT, and QQ/JJ unless he is a real station, but it's such a small part of his hand range that I think a turn check is better.

It's good against hearts, but I can't think of two many suited hearts hands that he could have that wouldn't push the flop.

Why would you check this flop? K high boards are great to c bet. Small to mid pairs and a bunch of other stuff all have to fold even with position.
