Poker rooms in the east area of Vegas include: Sam's Town, Boulder Station, Sunset Station, Fiesta Henderson, Joker's Wild. That's it. All low limit and maybe 1/2 NL occasional at a few of these places (sunset/sam's only).

Their room is in the south part of the Vegas valley in Henderson. It's quite a hike from the stadium but anyone with a car can find it easily by taking 95 south then west on 215.

All the above ones I mentioned are within 10-15 minute drive from the stadium.

As I've mentioned before, if you are going to be doing any amount of travelling around the city on a trip to LV I highly recommend renting a cheapo car instead of taking cabs.

Those cab-fares add-up fast and in most situations you will end up saving $$ by having your own rental imo.

Umm...

Looks like the STADIUM is a bit further away from the strip than the campus might be. Is the scale on this map wrong?

[/ QUOTE ]

If you look at the Cheapo Vegas off Strip map it hows Sam's Town and Arizona Charlie's East as being close by.

No poker rate at either. Sam's town is $250 per night for Sept 7 and 8. They know there's a game that weekend.

But there are only 650 rooms there. You're better off on the Strip, and it's not that far, really.

Argh, I guess I wasn't 100% clear in many areas of my post...

We've got HOTEL rooms squared away already, and yeah... pretty much every hotel KNOWS that Wisconsin football is a big deal and we travel in VERY large numbers (this will probably resemble a home or neutral game). Rates at the Golden Nugget (where a large group of friends are staying) were blocked off at a great rate long ago, but now are supposedly going for the highest rate of the year (even higher than NYE!).

Anyway... I just looked up the hotel info, and apparantly my girlfriend booked a room near the campus instead of the hotel, making this whole thread a moot point...

You're much better off being over by the campus and not the stadium. I've been to a game there and it's way out in the middle of nowhere. We had to beg our way onto one of our school's busses to even get back from the game 'cause there were no cabs or anything out there.
