Don't let any friend stand behind you if they're going to ask you what you had after the hand. And don't talk and laugh with a friend after you've just won a hand. Common courtesy.

As to your questions:

-One can make a case for either calling, raising or folding preflop. My feeling is that your hand is too good vs. his raising range here, so I would play. Since I would play, I would 3-bet since I don't want to share an angry, bad player with two others.

I would value bet the river here. He's probably in just the right mood to make a bad call.

As for doing anything different, he's 3-bet the flop and led out on the turn, so I don't see anything wrong with just calling down from there.
