This isn't that well disguised. If Sensei calls and the turn is a Jack or a six I think tommo will definitely tighten up a lot because the 89 is definitely a hand in Sensei's range and definitely one where a check/call would be appropriate.

Is it that horrible to lead the flop here and then close to pot the turn if you aren't raised?

Then potentially pushing the river unimproved really trying to turn 98 into 77?

dont you think tommo will put you on air a lot if you c/r the field after raising preflop?

I think he's good enough to wonder why i'm doing it, and chances are if he bets the flop he just has one middleish pair. if he doesnt fold to the flop c/r, he's likely to give it up to my turn shove.

I think its really hard for me to call with middle pair b/c sb is still to act. Which is obviously why we call it a squeeze.
