Villian is Jmc. He runs at 22/16. I've played a lot of hands with him before but have never really caught him with a big bluff in a big pot.

seriously? Whenever I've played this guy on stars, hes been a total psycho

villain is the best 10/20 player online and hero is the 2nd best.

therefore, i don't know what to do, fold i guess.

Hmm.... You have to ask yourself, what hand is he just calling with on that flop, that he A) doesn't plan on raising the flop or B) betting the turn with and eventually shoves river? 77.

Only other possibility is complete air or possibly 88-TT that he turns into a bluff, but I don't see him calling flop with air and not bluffing turn and deciding to shove river when it def lookslike you have a big pair. So it comes down to, if he had 88-TT would he think you would look him up? Because he has to know he isn't repping a jack or a set at this point. So really I think it comes down to, does he think you can make big calls and also what kind of session is he having? Maybe he's been losing a lot of pots this session, although it's not obvious to you, because he wouldn't make a bluff if he thought you thought he was frusterated, but maybe he's slowly been losing some pots and decides to make a move with 88-TT. Another factor to consider is, what type of propensity this opponent has to make big bluffs like this.

Maybe the description I gave wasn't the best but he's a tough player not exactly sure how to describe him. I said I haven't caught him in a really big bluff before, but I'm sure he is capable of it. There are sessions where he plays pretty crazy and sometimes more passive. This session he was playing more aggressive.

Really? I think you lose a lot of value not betting this river.

Bet/fold is fine.

This is just such a [censored] spot... I absolutely hate folding in spots like this b/c it's a no-brainer bluff for the Villain since Hero can virtually never have a hand that can comfortably call... if like you say he's been playing this session on the more aggro side I'd probably say [censored] it and just call, if lose chalk it up to game theory and reload.

Routinely folding in this spot is just too exploitable against tough regs, even though I usually hate that line of reasoning.
